Pursuant to and in accordance with applicable personal data protection regulations, with particular reference to Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, and subsequent amendments and additions (the “Privacy” Code) and Regulation (EU) 679/2016 (the “GDPR”), we are informing you that your personal data will be processed in accordance with said regulations and, in any case, according to the principles of confidentiality on which company activity is based. According to the applicable regulations, the Controller is CWTS S.r.l., with registered office in Cadriano di Granarolo dell’Emilia (BO), Via Gandolfi 6 (hereinafter, also the “Controller”).

The Controller will process the personal data provided on the website www.culligan.it and the subdomains (industria.culligan.it, piscine.culligan.it e export.culligan.it), or provided by filling out company forms, coupons and documents. Generally speaking, you can visit our websites without providing any personal data – providing your personal data is therefore optional.

Your personal data might be used by the Controller and/or by other subsidiary/parent companies and/or affiliates of the Controller, or by its dealers in relation to the various services offered and the functions available on the websites, for the purposes specified below.

The Controller collects the domain names of the people who visit our website. These data are processed and analysed for statistical purposes and then erased. Several pages of the Culligan website use cookies to assist your visit to our website. This technology allows us to show you customised information every time you visit the website, by sending data to your computer and saving it in your system. You can configure your browser to receive a warning whenever you are about to receive a cookie, so you can decide whether to accept or refuse it.

Although this website might contain links to other websites, the Controller is not responsible for the personal data processing methods used by these websites.

Purposes and legal basis of processing.

Your personal data might be processed for the following purposes:

• Allow you to register and gain authenticated access to the reserved area of the website;
• Allow you to subscribe to the Controller’s newsletter;
• Allow you to apply to the award initiatives of the Controller;
• Supply the goods or services you request, reach and fulfil contractual agreements;
• Respond to your requests for information or assistance;
• Under your explicit and optional consent, send you information and commercial communications, including promotional ones, advertising material and/or offers of goods and services relating to the Controller’s activity. Said commercial and promotional communications may be sent by automated means of contact (e-mail, SMS, MMS, App, etc.), and also using traditional methods (conventional postal delivery and calls with an operator);
• Under your explicit and optional consent, collect and process the personal data on your consumption habits and choices, in order to carry out specific promotional initiatives and send you personalised offers;
• Process statistics, make business, promotional and credit protection assessments, based on a legitimate interest of the Controller connected with organisational, administrative, financial and accounting management of its own organisation;
• Seek and select personnel and/or agents and/or sales assistants and/or distributors, for the acquisition of preliminary information on the possible start of a subordinate or freelance employment relationship, term contracts, agency agreements and/or granting of a sales assignment and/or to start a business relationship.

Applicable principles and data processing methods.

Your data will be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner, using manual, computerised and telecommunication instruments, with logic strictly linked to the purposes of processing and, in any case, in a manner that guarantees the security and confidentiality of the data and the communications, in full compliance with current regulations on the protection of confidentiality. Your data will only be stored to the extent strictly necessary to satisfy your requests or fulfil contractual relationships to which you are a party, without prejudice to any further law or regulation.

Categories of parties to whom the data may be transmitted.

For the pursuit of these purposes, with your explicit consent where necessary, the following subjects or categories of subjects might learn your personal data: subsidiary companies and/or affiliates, independent dealers/distributors and also professional consultants or third parties assigned to perform personnel search and selection, development of the sales network, promotional and commercial activities, the public authorities or supervisory authorities, firms and companies with which there are assistance and consultancy relationships, and suppliers of technological services and assistance activities to customers and customer service provided on the Controller’s behalf. Your personal data will be processed by the Controller’s employees for the above purposes. These employees will receive appropriate operating instructions from the Controller and will operate under its direct authority.

Providing the data.

It is optional to provide the data. However, if you refuse to provide it or provide it only partially, it might be impossible to supply the requested and/or desired services, to provide you with complete information and also to carry out a full assessment of the professional profile you have described.

Storage period.

Your personal data will be stored solely for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes indicated above, in accordance with the principles of necessity and proportionality of processing. This does not affect the storage obligations laid down by law or regulations.

All the data relating to the CVs received will be stored for a maximum period of three years in the Controller’s archives. It will then be destroyed without any further communication. The Controller nonetheless reserves the right to destroy the information or any document containing personal data that is judged not to be consistent with the aforesaid purposes.

Data security

The personal data processed will be kept in a manner to reduce to a minimum the risks of destruction or loss of the data, also accidental, unauthorised access or unlawful processing or processing that does correspond with the purposes of collection previously indicated, through the use of appropriate and preventive security measures.

Transfer of data to third countries.

The Controller will not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Rights of the data subject.

We inform you that, in relation to said processing, you may exercise your rights according to the applicable regulations and, in particular, the right to:

1) access to your personal data and the following information: the purposes of processing; the categories of data processed; the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data may be communicated; when possible, the envisaged storage period; the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling;

2) obtain rectification of inaccurate data and/or erasure of your personal data in general, without an unjustified delay;

3) obtain restriction of processing;

4) object, in full or in part, for legitimate reasons, to processing of your personal data, even if pertinent to the purpose for which it was collected;

5) request portability of the data you have provided to the Controller (i.e. to receive it in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, also to transmit it to another controller, without hindrance);

6) to complain with a personal data protection supervisory authority. If processing is based on your explicit consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Please also note that if you refuse to provide the data requested when the information is collected, it might be impossible for the company to supply the services requested.
